Shelly Deutmeyer is a Physical Therapist Assistant at our Dyersville location. She graduated from lowa State University in 1996 with a Bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science with an emphasis in K-12 Physical Education. She went on to get her associates degree from Kirkwood Community College in 2001 to attain her Physical Therapist Assistant license.

Over the years, Shelly worked primarily in outpatient settings in the Eastern lowa area at Genesis Medical Center in Davenport, Rockwell Rec Center PT in Cedar Rapids, and Health Enterprises in Cedar Rapids. Shelly joined the PTS team in 2011 and has enjoyed it ever since!

Shelly enjoys doing onsite physical therapy and providing ergonomic solutions for community employers. She works with your employees to mitigate risk for injury and keep your employees in great physical health.
Certifications & Memberships
Over the years, Shelly has attained certifications in McKenzie A and B, ASTYM, and LSVT. These certifications help her better support patients and stay up-to-date on best practices.

Outside of Physical Therapy
On a personal note, Shelly and her husband Troy farm just northeast of Dyersville. They have a corn, soybean and hog operation. They also enjoy spending time with their black labs, son Shawn and his wife Madison. When free time allows, she love walking, golfing, biking, gardening, boating, and spending time with friends and family.
